Thanks to
Mario we now have a separate field named "Summary" when we want to post something. It's a great UI improvement and a lot better than the "hidden" [summary] implementation that was there before.
The idea is simple. If you have something to say that is sensitive in nature, can trigger anybody you just add the topic in the summary field. Then when your post appears on people's timeline, they only see the summary and they see a "View article". The full post is hidden. The user can read the summary and choose to either ignore it or expand it to read the full post.
People have used this creatively - to hide spoilers, to hide the punch line of a joke, to hide adult content etc. Maybe you can find something new to use it for. Sky is the limit!
The feature is called "Content Warning" or CW for short in Mastodon and I've heard it helps to keep the community healthy and trigger less people. The same is there on Hubzilla as "Summary" now. Hope it works for Hubzilla too! Good job Hubzilla!
